Outbreaks and Emergencies Bulletin, Week 23: 3 - 9 June 2017
The African Region WHO Health Emergencies Programme is currently monitoring 41 public health events, 32 outbreaks and 9 humanitarian crises.
This weekly update focuses on key ongoing events in the region, the Grade 3 humanitarian crises in South Sudan and Ethiopia, the Grade 2 outbreaks of Ebola virus disease in the Democratic Republic of Congo, necrotising cellulitis in Sao Tome and Principe, meningitis in Nigeria, hepatitis E and meningitis outbreaks in Niger and the adverse event following immunization (AEFI) for measles in South Sudan.
