Update COVID-19 14 March 2021

14 March 2021 — Forty-three (43) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2590 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases twenty thousand, one hundred, and eighty-six (20186). To date, eighteen thousand, five hundred, and sixty-six (18566) patients have recovered, including sixty-six (66) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, three hundred, and forty (1340) and two hundred, and eighty (280) deaths. 


The new cases are in Nyanza (10), Kigali City (5), Nyamagabe (5), Karongi (5), Gisagara (5), Rubavu (3), Huye (3), Ruhango (2), Muhanga (2), Rusizi (2), and Kirehe (1);heightened vigilance is required everywhere.

The COVID-19 prevention measures announced by the Government of Rwanda must continue to be rigorously observed, especially frequent hand-washing and physical distancing. In addition, face masks must be worn in public and multi-family compounds.
Withholding information related to contact tracing or COVID-19 symptoms, jeopardises public safety and will be punished in accordance with applicable laws.
