The WHO Regional Office for Africa is pleased to announce that the third International Conference on PEN-Plus in Africa (ICPPA 2026) will be held in Tanzania from June 23-25, 2026, in Dar Es Salaam.
This year’s ICPPA will be held under the theme:"Advancing progress toward SDG targets for NCDs in Africa by 2030: Reflections on PEN-Plus implementation; Progress, Challenges and the Future"
- High-level engagement of Heads of State and Government
- Advancement of innovative financing mechanisms
- Strategic dialogue on sustainable resource allocation
- Issuance of high-level guidance and recommendations by Heads of State

This video illustrates how PEN-Plus empowers local health workers through specialized training, provides essential resources, and delivers patient-centered care bringing crucial NCD services closer to homes for people living in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa. It calls for sustain efforts toward comprehensive action on NCDs
