Honorable Ministers and heads of delegations;
Dr Kesete Admasu, CEO of the RBM Secretariat;
Distinguished partners;
Colleagues, ladies and gentlemen

Once again, thank you very much for joining us at this Side Event to update you on developments in the Roll Back Malaria Partnership, and our efforts in providing support to your countries as they move towards malaria elimination.

I am particularly grateful to all of you for actively contributing to such fruitful deliberations.

I am convinced that a strong partnership at the global, regional, sub-regional and country levels are key for driving faster progress to ending malaria, particularly local partnership and collaboration with sectors beyond health, such as environment, agriculture, urban planning and infrastructure, land, transport and energy; academia and research institutions; as well as development partners and civil society.

As you all know, there’s been remarkable progress in malaria control in the African Region. WHO remains fully committed to providing the best possible support to countries for achieving our common vision of an African Region free of malaria.

I now declare this Side Event officially closed. Thank you very much for your kind attention, and have a good evening.
