The WHO, in collaboration with Ministries of Health across 18 African countries, is implementing a sexual and reproductive health initiative aiming to strengthen access to person-centered, rights-based sexual and reproductive health care through resilient primary health care systems. In Kenya, WHO is working alongside the Ministry of Health to support six priority counties including Kajiado, Samburu, Laikipia, Siaya, Marsabit, and Tana River, delivering services such as family planning, post-abortion care, obstetric emergency care, and support for gender-based violence survivors.
As part of this initiative, over 22,550 women have been reached through mobile outreaches in the past two years across these six counties. This video captures one such outreach in Tana River, showcasing the life-saving care being brought directly to women and communities in need.
