Update COVID-19 29 November 2020

29 November 2020 — Twenty-eight (28) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 2054 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to five thousand, nine hundred, and nineteen (5919). To date, five thousand, three hundred, and eighty (5480) patients have recovered, with no one in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is three hundred and ninety-one (391) and forty-eight (48) deaths. The new death is a woman Rwandan of 25 years old in Kigali.


The new cases are in Kigali (8), Musanze (8), Rubavu (4), Rusizi (3), Gicumbi (2), Nyagatare (1), Gatsibo (1), and Burera (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere. 

The COVID-19 prevention measures announced by the Government of Rwanda must continue to be rigorously observed, especially frequent hand-washing and physical distancing. In addition, face masks must be worn in public and multi-family compounds.
Withholding information related to contact tracing or COVID-19 symptoms, jeopardises public safety and will be punished in accordance with applicable laws.
