Abuja, 25 April 2020 -  Thirty-five-year old Salihu Umar was diagnosed with COVID-19 after returning from a six-day trip to London in March 2020. Although asymptomatic, he tested positive and underwent treatment. Having recovered and back with his family in the Nigerian capital Abuja, the father of three stresses the importance of getting tested especially after having travelled to an area affected by the virus. 

24 April 2020 — Twenty-two (22) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1046 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and seventy-six (176). To date, eighty-seven (87) patients have recovered and been discharged. The number of active cases is eighty-nine (89).

This increase of new confirmed cases reflects a rise in cases of cross-border truck drivers and their assistants. All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

23 April 2020 — One (1) new CoVID_19 case was identified today, out of one thousand three hundred forty-three(1343) samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and fifty-four (154). To date, eighty-seven (87) patients have recovered, including three (3) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is now sixty-seven (67).

All active cases are in isolation in stable condition.

Juba, 22 April 2020 - In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the country, WHO in support of the Ministry of Health prepositioned COVID-19 supplies as part of the national COVID-19 preparedness and response plan to twenty different locations including Juba to collect samples, package and transport for testing in Juba.

22 April 2020 — Three (3) new CoVID_19 cases were identified out of 1038 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to a hundred and fifty-three (153). To date, eighty-four (84) patients have recovered and been discharged. The number of active cases is sixty-nine (69).

All active cases are in isolation in stable condition, and one patient is receiving oxygen as a precaution.
