Osagie Ehanire is the Minister of Health of Nigeria and was appointed to President Buhari's cabinet as Nigeria's Minister of State for Health in 2015 and to the President's second cabinet in 2019 as Minister of Health. He is passionate about advancing Universal Health Coverage and Emergency Medical Services is presently the captain, steering Nigeria’s COVID-19 response ship. Abuja August 26, 2021- At a solemn event in Abuja, the United Nations (UN) System in Nigeria held a commemorative ceremony to honor victims of terrorist attack on UN facilities 10 years ago. 

The incident which happened on the 26 of August 2011 claimed the lives of 23 UN employees and civilians and left over 60 people injured.

The vaccines, donated to COVAX by the United Kingdom (UK) will immensely support government’s response to the pandemic.
