Outbreaks and Emergencies Bulletin, Week 18: 29 April - 5 May 2017

The African Region WHO Health Emergencies Programme is currently monitoring 45 events, 37 infectious diseases outbreaks and 8 humanitarian crises. This edition (week 18) covers:

  • Suspected outbreak of anthrax in Guinea, 
  • Humanitarian crises in Ethiopia, Nigeria and South Sudan, 
  • Hepatitis E in Chad, 
  • Monkeypox in Congo and 
  • Undiagnosed illness in Liberia.
