The WHO Health Emergencies Programme is currently monitoring 43 events in the region. This week, one new event has been reported: flash floods/mudslides in Sierra Leone. This week’s edition also covers key ongoing events, including:
- Lassa fever and cholera in Nigeria
- Cholera in the United Republic of Tanzania
- Necrotizing cellulitis/fasciitis in the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe
- Humanitarian crisis in the Central African Republic
