In Sota, a remote rural health facility in Ituri province in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, WHO teams are rapidly transforming a modest clinic into a frontline Ebola isolation and treatment site while keeping everyday care running. Setting up an intensive-care tent, upgrading sanitation, strengthening infection prevention and engaging communities, the effort shows why bringing the Ebola response closer to affected populations is critical.
