STEPS SURVEY 2024

STEPS SURVEY 2024

The 2024 STEPS Country Report comprehensively analyzes the third nationwide WHO STEPwise Survey conducted in Eswatini. This survey examines risk factors associated with non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and utilizes a globally standardized methodology. The STEPwise approach enables meaningful comparisons of NCD data across different regions and periods, offering valuable insights for shaping national health strategies.

As a vital component of the country's health surveillance system, the STEPS survey tracks trends in NCD risk factors, evaluates the healthcare system's response, and assesses service delivery and utilization. Building on findings from the 2007 and 2014 surveys, the 2024 report reflects the evolving landscape of NCDs. It provides evidence-based guidance for targeted interventions aimed at strengthening the health system and improving health outcomes for the population.
