Kampala — Health ministers, emergency experts and partners from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and South Sudan gathered in Kampala this week to strengthen cross-border coordination as efforts are scaled up to respond to the outbreak of Bundibugyo virus disease in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Brazzaville – Alors que les pays de la Région africaine intensifient les mesures de préparation et de réponse à l’épidémie en cours de maladie à virus Ebola causée par le virus Bundibugyo en République démocratique du Congo et en Ouganda, l’Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) a convoqué une séance d’information de haut niveau pour les États Membres et les partenaires, après la déclaration de l’épidémie comme une Urgence de santé publique de portée internationale (USPPI) par le Directeur général de l’OMS.

Brazzaville – As countries across the African region intensify preparedness and response measures against the ongoing outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease caused by the Bundibugyo virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, the World Health Organization convened a high-level briefing for Member States and partners following the declaration of the outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) by the WHO Director-General.
