Dar Es Salaam: A UN Town Hall in Tanzania marked the conclusion of a three-day workshop on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), bringing together 21 UN PSEA Focal Points for capacity building and knowledge exchange.

Dar Es Salaam:  Tanzania’s Ministry of Health, with support from the World Health Organization (WHO) and partners, has launched a new and improved National Health Portal — a transformative step toward enhancing access to quality health data and promoting evidence-based decision-making across the country.

Dar es salaam: In a major step toward strengthening regional health security, Tanzania has officially gained the capacity to inspect ships and issue internationally recognized Ship Sanitation Certificates (SSCs) in accordance with the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005). This milestone enhances the country’s ability to prevent the cross-border spread of infectious diseases through maritime routes and positions Tanzania as a leader in port health preparedness.

Mwanza, Tanzania – The President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Health of the United Republic of Tanzania  in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), today officially launched the Pandemic Fund Project in Mwanza.

Morogoro - With financial support from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the World Health Organization (WHO) is supporting Tanzania in taking a major step toward strengthening its readiness for future pandemics through the development of a National Respiratory Pathogen Pandemic Preparedness Plan.

Morogoro: In a significant stride toward strengthening Tanzania’s health emergency preparedness, the World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and funding from UK in Tanzania, conducted a two-day Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) training workshop. 

Dar es Salaam:  The United Republic of Tanzania, with support from the World Health Organization (WHO), is set to launch the 'Beat the Heat' Initiative aimed at addressing extreme heat and environmental risks in workplaces and large-scale events.

Dar es Salaam: Tanzania commemorated World Health Day 2025 with a vibrant national event themed “Let’s Talk Health”, spotlighting the country’s progress in public health and reaffirming commitments to inclusive, sustainable health for all.

Dar es Salaam:  The United Republic of Tanzania has been awarded a significant grant of US$25 million from the Pandemic Fund to enhance its national health security and pandemic preparedness capacities. In addition to this core funding, the initiative has successfully mobilized US$7 million in co-investment and US$6.7 million in co-financing, bringing together strong technical and financial partnerships.
