WHO Namibia successfully conducted BMS HCM UX Lab

The Business Management System (BMS) is a comprehensive suite of tools designed to support the planning and implementation of organizational policies, practices, guidelines, processes, and procedures. It facilitates the development, deployment, and execution of business strategies and related management activities. To prepare for the upcoming rollout of BMS, each country office was tasked with conducting a User Experience (UX) Lab to familiarize staff with the new system. On 20 June, the Country Office conducted its BMS Human Capital Management (HCM) UX Lab, with full participation from all staff. The session aimed to familiarize staff with the new BMS ahead of its rollout.

Designated facilitators (Human Resources Assistant, Information, Communication and Technology Assistant, Communication officer, Operations officer, Program Management officer, and Program assistant) were selected and inducted to guide and support staff throughout the exercise. The primary objective of the activity was to introduce staff to the BMS HCM interface and functionality, ensuring they are comfortable and confident in using the system once it is fully implemented.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many noted the system’s user-friendly design and ease of navigation. “The system is straightforward and more user-friendly compared to the currently used Global Management System (GSM),” said Ms. Margareth Mutirua, Procurement Assistant at WHO Namibia.
