Tanzania has been honoured to host this year’s World Malaria Day commemorations at which took place on 25th April 2010 in Dar Es Salaam.
The occasion was graced by H/E Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, who is also the Chairman of the newly formed African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA); in the presence of Hon. Prof. David Homeli Mwakyusa, Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Tanzania Mainland; Hon. Sultan Mugheiry, Minister of Health and Social Welfare Zanzibar; Hon.
