Niger is making great strides in the fight against tuberculosis and HIV, thanks to the one-stop-shop strategy implemented with support from WHO. This approach allows patients co-infected with both diseases to benefit from integrated care at health facilities. This reduces incidence of delayed start on antiretroviral treatment, while improving prognosis, limiting the need to visit several facilities, and reducing treatment drop-out rates. In three years, treatment uptake has increased from 3% to 89%, with mortality reduced from 21% to 14%.
