Country Analysis and Support

The Country Analysis and Support (CAS) Unit provides political, strategic, technical, administrative and managerial backstopping from the Regional Office and Headquarters to Country teams for effective delivery and improved performance of WHO's work at country level.

Objectives/functions:

The functions of the Unit are:

• To provide data to the Regional Director to make the coordination of work of the Divisional Directors and Programme Managers coherent
• To follow-up implementation of WHO Country focus policies at country level
• To provide evidence for follow-up of the managerial process of WHO in collaboration with relevant Units
• To generate information and orientation for improved leadership capacity
• To manage Country and IST reports
• To ensure synergy between Country and Inter Country Support.
