WHO donates Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare

Monrovia, Liberia:

On behalf of Dr. Margaret Chan (Director-General of the World Health Organization) and Dr. Luis G. Sambo (WHO Regional Director for Africa), the WHO Country Office for Liberia is delighted to donate 30 pieces of Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The donation is valued at over US$4,500.00 (Four Thousand Five Hundred United States Dollars).
Since 2007 the World Health Organization has been supporting member countries in the African Region to introduce personal digital assistants (PDAs) for use during supervision and monitoring.
