Sixth Meeting of African Ministers of Health of Small Island Developing States opens in Seychelles

Victoria, Seychelles, 27th August 2017 - The 6th Meeting of African Ministers of Health of Small Island Developing States opened on 26th September 2017 at the Savoy Resort and Spa, in Victoria, Republic of Seychelles. The meeting was officially opened by His Excellency Danny Faure, President of the Republic of Seychelles.

In attendance at the opening ceremony were the Honorable Jean-Paul Adam, Minister for Health Seychelles, Dr Mohamma Anwar Husnoo, Minister for Health and Quality of Life, Mauritius, Dr. Arlindo Nascimento do Rosario, Minister for Health Cabo Verde, Dr Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa, as well as government and WHO delegations from the five SIDS - Seychelles, Mauritius, Cabo Verde, Comoros and Sao Tome and Principe.
