Mr Haarman, joined WHO/AFRO as Director of Administration and Finance in August 2007. Mr. Sander Edward Haarman, is a national from the Netherlands, married and the father of four sons. He has an MBA from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Mr Haarman previously served for UNAIDS as the Chief, Finance and Administration. He has over 30 years experience working with the United Nations and his current assignment with WHO's Regional Office for Africa in Brazzaville is his tenth duty station with the UN system. Before the UNAIDS, Mr Haarman served with the United Nations Development Programme in different capacities in Africa, at headquarters in New York, in Asia and in Arab States.
