US Ambassador pays courtesy call on Dr Moeti

07 Nov - 2017 | Brazzaville - United States Ambassador to the Republic of Congo, His Excellency Todd P. Haskell, today paid a courtesy call on WHO Regional Director Dr Matshidiso Moeti, at the WHO offices in Brazzaville.

Their discussions focused on various issues of mutual interest aimed at supporting countries in the Region to improve the health of people. Dr Moeti thanked the US government for its continuous support and contribution to the work of WHO in the Region.

Ambassador Todd P. Haskell, who took office recently in Congo, was the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of African Affairs. Prior to that, he served as the Director of Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, directing the deployment of public diplomacy personnel and resources at 48 U.S. embassies and consulates in Sub-Saharan Africa. In both of the latter positions, he worked with U.S. embassies in the field and agencies in Washington to implement the Mandela Washington Fellowship, the signature program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).
