This component involves supporting countries to set up legal framework for human organ transplant and put in place essential health technology and equipment that allow safe human organ and tissue donation and transplantation; provide reliable and accurate information and sensitize the community on human organ and tissue transplant.

It supports countries in promoting appropriate and sustainable standards through an integrated approach to improve the quality and safety of emergency and essential surgical care in health care facilities. Achievements include development and dissemination of emergency surgical services evaluation tools and training kits on emergency surgical care.
