Objectives/functions

The objectives of the Health Financing & Social Protection Programme are:

• To support member states to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate comprehensive health financing policies and strategies based on the best available evidence.
• To support health financing research, dissemination and use in improving health financing and organizational arrangements.
• To reinforce countries capacities for undertaking and institutionalizing national health accounts (NHA).
• To strengthen health economics capacities in Member States.
