The focus is on strengthening the capacity of countries to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate comprehensive interventions against HIV/AIDS/STI in the health sector in a context of "3 Ones" principle through:

  • Provision of normative guidance and tools to countries for planning of health sector response to HIV/AIDS/STI, while ensuring the integration of priority interventions
  • Supporting countries for building capacity in HIV/AIDS/STI strategic planning and programming
  • Supporting countries in the development of HIV/AIDS/STI Policies and National Strategic framework and Health Sector Response plans for HIV/AIDS/STI
  • Supporting countries in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIV/AIDS/STI prevention, care and treatment.
