The mission of Management Support is to facilitate the implementation of the plan of action for the CDS program and    manage the human, material and financial resources in close collaboration with the DDC management officer.

The core responsibilities are:
  • To  liaise with relevant support units in AFRO in order to facilitate:
- The recruitment of CDS staff and consultants,
- Travel arrangements
- The acquisition of equipments and supplies
- The maintenance of facilities and equipments
- The production and dissemination of documents
  • To supervise the smooth functioning of the different components of the CDS programme.
  • The specific duties of the sub-unit are:
- Provision of support in the preparation of strategic plans, biennial plans and  plans of works for the different components of CDS
- Monitoring of budget utilization against the plan of works and production of utilization reports
- Preparation of financial statements
- Preparation of specifications, ordering and follow-up of procurement of equipment, supplies and materials
- Maintenance of CDS facilities and equipment
- Initiation and follow-up of staff / consultants recruitment and renewal process
- Supervision of all CDS support staff
- Management / Inventory of material for CDS Unit
