Resource mobilization

The main focus is on:

• Implementation of the strategic approaches of AFRO resource mobilization strategy.
• Coordination of a cross cutting inter-divisional team to engage proactively in Partnership and Resource Mobilization across the organization.
• Organization of trainings to enhance skills and capacities of regional, ISTs and country staff.
• Development and management of a web based database that captures data for programmatic review and donor reporting and enhances monitoring of the utilization of funds throughout the organization.
• Organization and participation in donors' round tables.

Partnership

The main focus is on:

• Implementation of the strategic approaches of AFRO Partnership Strategy;
• Coordination of a cross cutting inter-divisional team to engage proactively in Partnerships across the organization;
• Provision of technical assistance for Divisions and Country Offices for the development of partnerships including with the private sector, non-governmental organizations and the civil society;
• Organization of training sessions to enhance skills and capacities of regional, sub-regional and country staff in alignment & harmonization and in the establishment of partnerships, elaboration of agreements and clearance procedures;
• Technical support to the health cluster of the Regional Directors Team;
• Instauration and running of the Health Harmonization and Alignment (HHA) Secretariat.
