The mission of the Division of Prevention & Control of Non Communicable Diseases is to support Member States in the African Region to achieve reduction of the disease burden due to chronic and non communicable diseases through technical guidance and support; health promotion; and advocacy for action at national and regional levels, especially in favour of the most vulnerable groups and the poor.
