National Health Workforce, Leadership and Stewardship Capacity

The focus is on supporting Member States to strengthen their leadership capacity in the process of developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating Human Resource for Health (HRH) policies and plans, norms and standards through:

• Supporting countries to formulate and review HRH policies and plans
• Supporting strengthening of the capacity of HRH structure/units at country level
• Developing and disseminating tools, guidelines, norms and standards on HRH development
• Supporting the establishment and strengthening of regulatory bodies and professional associations for health professions.
