Child and Adolescent Health

The Child and Adolescent Health (CAH) Programme covers the age group of 0-19 years and includes three major focus areas: Newborn Health, Child Health, and Adolescent Health. These areas were established to respond to the high infant and under-five mortality rates and the neglected area of pre-adolescent health as well as problems related to adolescents.

The strategies on Road Map, Child Survival and Adolescent Health have been developed to guide countries to implement effective interventions in order to achieve high standards of child and adolescent health.
