The Global Management System (GSM) Unit coordinates and supports the preparations and deployment of the Global Management System in the African Region.
Objectives/functions:
The functions of the Global Management System Unit are as follows:
- To coordinate the development and support the implementation of GSM preparedness, deployment and production support plans in the African Region.
- To raise awareness about the changes in administrative processes and procedures, roles and functions, and inter-dependencies among administrative functions and related organisational units.
- To propose actions and procedures to address critical changes in administrative processes, staff roles and functions, and dependencies among functional areas and related organisational units.
- To build regional capacity on the end-to-end processes that GSM supports and the hands-on use of GSM to carry out programme and administrative support functions.
- To communicate the progress and issues in the implementation of GSM activities to the management and staff in the Region according to established communications management plan.
- To support the GSM transition in relevant functional areas, including related legacy systems and users during the GSM transition period.
