Blue Trunk Library
The Blue Trunk Library has been developed by the library of the World Health Organization for installation in district health centres in Africa as a means of compensating for the lack of up-to-date medical and health information. The AFRO Library staff train the persons in charge of the Blue Trunk Libraries in the health districts of the AFRO Region. This activity is implemented in collaboration with the WHO Headquaters. More

The objective of the Global Health Library (GHL) is to contribute to increase access to information and scientific evidence on health, particularly in developing regions. GHL is promoted and led by WHO as part of its strategy of knowledge management in global public health.

The Global Information Full Text project (GIFT) provides WHO staff with online access to major journals and databases in the medical and biomedical field, as well as in related social sciences.
