The AACHRD is a multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral body established in 1979, to provide advice to the Regional Director on matters of health research policies and development strategies. MORE

The Subcommittee shall meet at least once a year, but its last meeting shall be held in June. If the meeting is held once a year, its duration shall last up to five days. MORE

The regional Committee meets as often as necessary and determines the place of each meeting. Each meeting shall have a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, and 2 rapporteurs. However, the Regional Director (assisted by the DPM, divisional directors and relevant regional adviser) acts as the Secretary of the Committee. MORE

The Committee meets under the Chairmanship of the Regional Director once a quarter. MORE

RPM will be held twice a year. The first meeting will largely deal with issues related to the monitoring of the implementation of WHO technical programme of cooperation with countries while the second meeting will largely deal with programme planning issues. MORE

The Committee meets under the Chairmanship of the Regional Director, every six months as follows:

for monitoring, after the first 6 months of each of the two years of a biennium;
for annual review, at the end of the first year of a biennium; and for evaluation, at the end of the second year of the biennium. MORE

The Committee meets under the Chairman of the DPM monthly. MORE
